FAVA in the side meeting on “Bridging Policy and Action: A Post-UNGA One Health Agenda for Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)” in Bangkok, Thailand

Prof. Dr. Achariya Sailasuta, Director of FAVA office, Bangkok participated the PMAC 2025 side meeting, “Bridging Policy and Action: A Post-UNGA One Health Agenda for Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)”, on January 29, 2025, at the Centara Grand and Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld, Bangkok, Thailand. The meeting was such a productive and enriched with the information from many stakeholders; AMR experts, government, academic, international organization, FAO-RAP, private sectors on combating the AMR in the region. The International Centre for Antimicrobial Resistance Solutions (ICARS), the AMR Multi-Stakeholder Partnership Platform (MSPP), and the International Health Policy Program (IHPP) co-organized the event. Which aims to bridge global commitments and regional action on AMR. The program was designed to explore how global declarations on AMR can be transformed into actionable policies in the Asia-Pacific region. Through discussions on country-led, evidence-based solutions and scalable interventions, the meeting will foster collaboration among stakeholders and highlight sustainable approaches to address AMR challenges across One Health domains and regional contexts.
